    DIRECTOR AND SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

    Bec is a passionate Speech Therapist and the Director of As You Are Allied Health. She is passionate about advocating for neurodivergent people, creating therapy spaces that feel safe and affirming, and supporting clients to better understand and communicate their needs in ways that feel authentic to them. Professionally, Bec brings a wealth of experience in supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and adults with a diverse range of communication goals.

    Before becoming a speech therapist, Bec earned her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Gender Studies. She has always been passionate about understanding people within the context of their identity, relationships, environments, and lived experiences.

    Outside of work, Bec enjoys oat milk cold brew, travel planning, and deep diving on whatever topic has most recently captured her attention.

  • Chantelle Vella

    SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

    She/her | Neurodivergent

    Chantelle is a bubbly speech therapist who is passionate about helping individuals communicate authentically. She takes a collaborative, creative, and neuroaffirming approach to supporting clients with early language development, gestalt language processing, stuttering, literacy, executive functioning, and social communication. Chantelle also loves supporting safe and enjoyable mealtimes for clients of all ages. With a background in Nutrition and Health Communication, Chantelle brings a holistic perspective to her work. Outside of therapy, she enjoys exploring Sydney’s food scene, game nights, improv classes, and traveling.

    Anna Parker

    SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

    She/her | Neurodivergent

    Anna is a compassionate speech therapist with experience supporting the unique communication needs of clients across the lifespan.

    She is dedicated to revealing and celebrating the strengths of individuals and ensuring therapy is a safe, affirming, and joyful experience for both clients and their families. Her professional interests include supporting exploration of clients’ communication style and neurotype, early language development (under 4 years), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), literacy, social communication, and gender affirming voice therapy. She values collaborating closely with the important people in a client’s life to support meaningful, functional communication across environments.

    When she’s not supporting clients, you can find her playing AFL, watching her favourite comfort shows, or walking her beloved labrador, Koda.

  • Annika Stagg

    SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

    Annika is a warm and creative Speech Therapist who enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their families or networks to build confidence and support communication in ways that feel meaningful in everyday life. Her professional interests include articulation, stuttering, AAC, and early language development.

    Annika brings a rich and unique background to her work. Alongside her Master of Speech Pathology, she has completed an Advanced Diploma of Artistic Studies and a Bachelor of Music in Performance. Before becoming a speech therapist, Annika worked in an orchestra in Germany and has supported children as an instrumental music teacher in a school-based setting. These experiences shape her approach to therapy, bringing flexibility, curiosity, playfulness, and a deep appreciation for the many different ways people communicate and express themselves.

    Annika loves incorporating music, play, imagination, and humour into sessions. Outside of work, she is most likely to be found playing with her 6-year-old, knitting, sewing, or listening to music (sometimes all at once). If it can be crafted, she will probably try it.
